1/3 yr exp AP Mechanic, Cubs, Cessna’s, future DOM op, will train) Job in Woodbine, New Jersey 08270 USA with High Exposure, Inc.
Experienced A P mechanic with opportunity to work as a pilot as well if you possess a CPL or are a private pilot with a desire to become become a commercial pilot.
Pilots license is NOT required and mechanic responsibilities will always be primary. Ideally 1-3 years of field experience as an A P and capable of working without supervision.
High Exposure, Inc. is an aerial advertising company operating 14 aircraft (PA-18's, PA-12's, Cessna 150's, Cessna 172's). We have sister companies that provide sightseeing rides in a WACO UPF-7 and we recently took over the airport maintenance facility which performs outside maintenance. Outside work is performed on various types of reciprocating singles and some light twins. Experience with tube and fabric aircraft is not required but would be beneficial.
This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing company with the expectation of becoming a DOM as the current mechanics are nearing retirement. Woodbine Airport is based in southern NJ and service a coastal community with a heavy influx of summer tourism however we have a base of regular customers and opportunity to expand work.
Job Requirements
Expected skill set:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified A P mechanic and willingness to build on experiences as necessary - such as working with fabric.
- Willingness to live within 1 hour of Woodbine, NJ
- Ability to work weekends during peek banner operations (summer mos)
- Work experience that demonstrates longevity and commitment.
- Be reliable and able to work independently and/or with a team.
- Once established as an employee, willingness to train new hires as may be necessary.
- Communicate and correspond both orally and in writing with suppliers, customers and the FAA in a polite and professional manner
- Carry out mechanical and cosmetic reworks of various metal and fabric aircraft.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems
- Replace electrical connectors, terminal lugs, and wires
- Install equipment as per STC instructions or previously approved 337's.
- Knowledge of how to properly complete FAA paperwork to include research and documentation of AD'sTeam
- Willingness to expand on existing knowledge and grow with company.
Physical Requirements include but not limited to:- Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time. This includes walking rapidly from one job assignment to another or one hangar to another
- Must be able to work more than 8-hour shift if needed
- Must be able to bend, kneel, crawl and/or climb stairs/ladder at any time as required for job assignments
- Must be able to use hand tools as required
- Must be able to lift 50lbs or more
- Hangar is not air-conditioned but is heated
