Position Summary:
This position serves as a full-time Accessory Shop Technician for Mountain Aviation. The AST will be responsible for certain aspects of component maintenance specifically aircraft tires. Safety will be the primary consideration while ensuring compliance with legal regulations company policies.
Job Requirements
Essential Functions
- Inspect Mountain Aviation aircraft wheel and tire assemblies in accordance with manufacturer's maintenance manual.
- Coordinate and document all actions with lead technicians as applicable.
- Ensure the cleanliness of work areas and the return of equipment and tools at the end of the work shift.
- Ensure that the hangar, workshops, and other areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive and cooperative teamwork environment with department managers, line personnel, and company employees.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- 1-2 years experience working with wheels/tires in aviation or automotive industry
- Adept in workplace safety
- Knowledge of computers and electronic software applications.
- Reliable, punctual, with attention to detail is an essential function of the position
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or possession of a G.E.D. certificate.
- Current Colorado driver's license
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship
- Read, write, and understand English
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Willing to work any shift assigned with possibility of overtime
Work Conditions Physical Requirements:
- Maintenance will be conducted in a hangar and ramp environment
- The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
