Job Summary
The APG Phase Technician is required to inspect, maintain and repair F-16 Block 50 aircraft. Primary duties are phase inspections. Additionally performs crew chief duties and all aspects of both phase and flight line Airframe and Powerplant General Maintenance.
Principal Accountabilities
Service aircraft and perform all aspects of ground handling, aircraft configuration and maintaining support equipment and special tools.Perform on and off equipment inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.Conducts effective OJT to qualify a cadre of assigned RAFO maintenance personnel to assume responsibility for the F-16 maintenance organization as directed by RAFO Headquarters. Perform in the capacity of instructor, OJT trainer, Quality Assurance, phase dock chief and shop chief. Work closely with RAFO Trade Manager, supporting all required scheduled and unscheduled maintenance working both Phase and Flight line maintenance tasks.Oversee and accept the work performed by RAFO Engineering. Debrief Aircrews Perform Launch and Recovery and EOR.As directed by the Program Manager

Knowledge Skills
AFSC 2A3X3B Aerospace Airframe and propulsion Mechanic, or equivalent and achieving 7-skill craftsman level performing or supervising functions such as performing or supervising functions involving installation, repair, testing, or modification of aircraft.Skilled in F-16 phase inspections, knowledgeable in crash recovery and repair and reclamation.
Experience Education
High school graduate or GED with a certificate of completion.Minimum of Eight (8) years experience.Experience in all aspects of intermediate level maintenance on F-16 Block 50 Aircraft.Experience in Phase Inspections and all aspects of scheduled maintenance.Experience in Inspection troubleshooting of any systems failures.Experience providing OJT to technicians.Citizen of the United States
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
Individual must be immediately deployable to potential combat areas worldwide and able to adapt and live in austere conditions. Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch and work in tiring and uncomfortable position. Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds. Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds. Most heavy lifting is accomplished through the use of mechanical devices.
