- Performs 50 hour, 100 hour, annual and progressive inspections,
maintenance and repairs of aircraft (scheduled maintenance).
- Research and comply with FAA Airworthiness Directives and
regulatory requirements.
- Determine time life limits for aircraft components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and discrepancies (un-scheduled
maintenance). Including correcting discrepancies, troubleshoot and repair
inoperative schematics and troubleshooting procedures, and determine correct
manufacturer part numbers for replacement of parts.
- Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and all UND Aerospace
standard operating procedures.
- Reviews work orders, aircraft records and related documents for
completeness and accuracy.
- Perform minor and major alternations and repairs as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
- Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
- Meet the currency requirements of FAR Part 65.83.
- Thorough working knowledge of all federal regulations pertaining
to aircraft maintenance.
- Work with staff of full and part-tie aircraft technicians to
provide scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in accordance with the requirements
of the FAR's and to meet the high demands of the flight training department.
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with customers,
co-workers and FAA agencies.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Drug and alcohol testing as required by UND Aerospace Anti-Drug
Program.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to move and lift bulky or heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
Desired Requirements:
- Prefer at least 2 years technical experience.
- Prefer Cessna single and Piper multiengine experience.
- Prefer previous formal course work in maintenance management or
related area.
