Description
The Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking a highly organized Finance and Accounting Intern for full-time summer internship. The Finance and Accounting Intern will report to the Finance Manager and will be working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. This internship is 4 months in length.
Our Student interns work side-by-side with experienced professionals and are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects. Position Responsibilities:
Assist with account reconciliations, monthly journals and financial reporting
Participate in inventory cycle counts and capital asset counts
Exposure to special projects that make a large business impact
Assist with completion of the quarterly forecasting
Support site departments in the completion and reporting of their planning and cost management activities
Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Must have completed the 1st year of post-secondary education
Must be a current full-time registered student with a college or university.
Must be enrolled in business related education (Business/Commerce Degree or diploma)
Must have some exposure to accounting.
Intermediate level knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Must be in good academic standing within their chosen disciplin
Must have a Canadian High School diploma, GED in Canada, or equivalent
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Prefer previous internships are considered an asset
Experience working on multiple projects with short deadlines
Prefer experience with SAP
Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
* Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies in a full-time capacity.
Working Hours/Term
Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (hours may vary)
4- Months
May 3, 2021- Sept 3, 2021
This requisition is for a, locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
