Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversees the production schedules and ensures comprehensive compliance with regards to part requirement for manufacturing operations.
- Ensures effective part movement through the manufacturing processes and optimizes inventory level to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Plans and monitors (on a micro level) the priority runs on the shopfloor, with respect to the accommodation of machinery preventive maintenance, equipment/tool calibration, engineering trial runs, etc.
- Analyses WIP data and inventory levels on a daily basis to ensure that parts are adequately provided for and shortages are minimized/eliminated.
- Coordinates with stakeholders from the Operations team on the establishment of daily production plans.
- Manages and maintains the Production Control Online Office.
- Provides periodic production scheduling and target reports to the Management team.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Takes on interfacing roles with Quality, Engineering, Production, Materials, Maintenance, etc. to resolve operational issues that would result in backlogs or production schedule interruptions.
- Supports the development, implementation and maintenance of new procedures and control systems for shopfloor parts.
- Supports the enhancement of Continuous Improvement methodologies and Visual Factory initiatives on the shopfloor.
- Serves as a mentor (where necessary) to the junior member of the team.
- Support, define, and implement ACE initiatives, EHS, Quality, Export Compliance.
- Identify and understand the hazards and risks associated with the jobs, and provide briefing and tool box communication to technicians.
- Perform responsibilities in compliance with Company Code of Ethics at all times.
Requirements:
- Degree in Materials Management/ Business Management/ Engineering or Equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in 3PL/Warehousing/Shipping
- Strong leadership skills in establishing best practices in the materials and logistics management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong quality leadership.
- Able to work in a team as well as under pressure
- Experience in using SAP will be advantageous
